About

I look at life as one amazing story–and everybody is part of the plot. I’m a storyteller at heart . . .

  1. Hi Shawn –

Hope you remember me. We used to hang out together sometimes back in the mid-’80s, when you still lived in Citrus Heights. When we were both trying to get into writing.

It looks like you’ve actually written some books since then. For children? Would love to see those sometime. I have a website now, to encourage kids to read more: http://www.kids-and-books.com. I want to feature interviews of authors eventually.

I saw your post from yesterday, and just wanted to say I often think of you and what you went through. I’m so excited that you’re a grandparent now, through one of your girls! Hope she and the baby are doing OK.

Tom and I just celebrated our 30th on the 23rd. He’s been sober over 17 years now (we were separated for a few months before he decided to get sober), and we adopted a son over 11-1/2 years ago. So a lot has happened since I last talked to you!!

I’ve actually thought of writing a book based on some of my own life experiences: losing a mom at age 13, living with an alcoholic and learning how to place God back in his proper place (namely #1), adopting a bi-racial child thru open adoption, then dealing w/ some of his special needs, homeschooling . . . you name it!!

Decided to let Ben go back to public school toward the end of his 5th grade year. He’s in middle school now – so far he’s doing OK, but I’ve learned to turn him over to God every day!

Do you still hear from Anne Wittenborn?

Anyway, if you ever want to give me a call, my cell number is 916/801-0480.

Would really like to talk to you again. The last time we talked, I was probably too caught up in all the drama in my own life to be much of a friend.

    Take care . . .

    Chris
